Nainital:

Nainital is a popular hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and headquarters of Nainital district in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas. Situated at an altitude of 2,084 metres (6,837 ft) above sea level, Nainital is set in a valley containing a mango-shaped lake, approximately two miles in circumference, and surrounded by mountains, of which the highest are Naina (2,615 m (8,579 ft)) on the north, Deopatha (2,438 m (7,999 ft)) on the west, and Ayarpatha (2,278 m (7,474 ft)) on the south. From the tops of the higher peaks, magnificent views can be obtained of the vast plain to the south, or of the mass of tangled ridges lying north, bounded by the great snowy range which forms the central axis of the Himalayas



Almora:

Welcome to one of the most spectacular regions of Kumaon. Almora that also had served as cantonment during British Raj is now a hill destination of reputation. Clear days of the place provide great views of the central Himalayas and the peaks that form the mountain range.The best season to visit Almora is the summers and the onset of winters. The favourable months to visit the place are between April to June and September to November. The climate remains pleasant during these moths offering tourists the best holiday experience.



Chopta:

Chopta is a small region of meadows and evergreen forest area which is a part of kedarnath wildlife sanctuary located in Uttarakhand state and a base for trekking to Tungnath,third temple of Panch Kedar which lies 3.5 kilometres away. Located at a distance of 1.5 kilometres from Tungnath is Chandrashila, a rising to over 4,000 metres (13,000 ft).Chopta is an unspoiled natural destination lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas and offers views of the imposing Himalayan range including Trishul,Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba.
The best time to visit is from April to November.Chopta is also a popular destination during the winter months due to the snowfall that the area experiences.Tungnath temple and Chandrashila are covered with snow from December to March.


Kausani (The Switzerland of India):

Many of you might argue that there are other hill stations in India that deserve the said title more than Kausani. But the destination truly is beautiful and inspired Mahatma Gandhi to make the comparison for a reason. It offers alluring views of Bandarpoonch, Trishul, & Panchachuli peaks. Temples and other tourist attractions offer great sightseeing options. Furthermore, travelers can go for short treks & hikes from Kausani.
The peak season lasts from late March till the end of June, and though it tends to get a little crowded, the pleasant climate one experiences here is really worth it. Autumn and winters are also a good time to visit Kausani, as the town is soaked in solitude and serenity with a chill permeating the air.
